According to Collider, Apple has bought the film rights to Blake Crouch’s novel Dark Matter. Work on the show, which will be streaming on AppleTV +, has already begun.
The series is written by Blake Crouch himself, and will be produced by Matthew Tolmak, famous for his participation in the work on “Venom” and the reboots of “Spider-Man” and “Jumanji”. Sony Pictures Television is responsible for production.
Crouch’s original novel tells the story of the physicist Jason Jessen, who was kidnapped by strangers and rendered unconscious. Upon awakening, the character finds himself among unfamiliar faces. They were friendly towards Jessen, and many even recognized him as an old friend, and praised him for his discovery. The book became a New York Times bestseller in 2016.
There are no details about the project, as well as an approximate release date.
