The next part of Yakuza is already in development

On the last stream of SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Yakuza series, the creator of the franchise and its permanent producer Toshihiro Nagoshi said that a new part is already in development.

Nagoshi warmly thanked the fans, saying that it is their support that allows the studio to grow and try new things.

I would like to express my gratitude to the fans who have supported us for a very long time. Thanks to you, we continue to set ourselves new goals, grow and overcome difficulties. We work on each game as on the last and this is one of the reasons why we give our best.

I can confirm that we are already working on the next part.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is likely to be sequel to the recent Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Earlier, Nagoshi himself said that the series will develop in the chosen JRPG direction .

SEGA recently announced that the Yakuza series has sold 14 million copies.
