According to Bloomberg, Apple is set to unveil new ARM processors in the spring of 2021 that will allow the company to rival and even surpass Intel’s solutions. Apple will first update the MacBook Pro and iMac, and later the desktop Mac Pro.
Apple is confident that it will fully transition from Apple chips to its own solution by 2022. Intel now has less than 10% of its revenue from shipments of its Apple hardware processors. According to Bloomberg, this will shake the market and in addition to Intel and AMD, there will also be a third force.
Apple devices now run on M1 chips, which rival Intel’s and i9’s Tiger Lake models.
