Constantin Film apologizes for the joke in the film adaptation of Monster Hunter

German company Constantin Film has apologized for the bad joke in the film adaptation of Monster Hunter, which led to a backlash in China. The audience did not like her so much that the film was removed from the box office in the Celestial Empire.

The company sincerely apologizes to the Chinese audience for the dialogue. She had absolutely no intention of discriminating or insulting any of the Chinese viewers. The company will remove the phrase from the film.

Tencent, which distributes in China and is a co-star in the film, is trying to rectify the situation and remove the scene from the film. It is still not clear if the film will be released again in local theaters and whether the dialogue will appear in other distribution markets.

The film adaptation of Monster Hunter grossed $ 2.65 million this weekend in five countries where the film began distribution. China does not take this figure into account.
