Naughty Dog studio president Evan Wells announced major personnel changes last night. No, Neil Druckmann was not fired, as his haters would have liked, but promoted to the position of co-director.
Previously, he was the vice president of the studio.
Neil Druckmann has been with Naughty Dog since 2004 and has contributed to the Uncharted and The Last of Us games. Released this year, The Last of Us Part II was created by a game designer without the involvement of Bruce Straley, Neil’s partner and teacher, so the promotion can be considered a result of the success of this game.
Naughty Dog is currently working on multiplayer for TLOU2. So far, no one has said anything about the development of other titles.
