Another Star Wars easter egg has arrived with the new season of Fortnite Chapter 2. Apparently, the title mascot shared the fate of Han Solo.
The next seasons of Fortnite bring a lot of news, but also visits from guests from other worlds. We’ve already seen the heroes of Marvel , DC Comics , and even Kratos from God of War in the game. Of course, in addition to direct performances, we also received a lot of easter eggs, this time relating mainly to known thieves and bounty hunters. One of them is the carbonite figure of Peely, who was apparently captured by the Mandalorian or one of his colleagues in the Star Wars universe . The frozen mascot can be found at the Hunter’s Haven in Zero Point (via Reddit ).
The appearance of this and other references to Star Wars is easy to understand, even if ignoring the iconic status of the image of Han Solo imprisoned in an identical way by Darth Vader in The Empire Counterattacks . Star Wars is currently owned by Disney, and the collaboration of the company with Epic Games was clearly demonstrated by the appearance of more Marvel superheroes in Fortnite . It is a pity that it did not translate into adding the Han Solo skin to the game, as it would fit perfectly into the theme of chapter 2. Perhaps this will change in the near future. For now, we have to settle for the Mandalorian that went to Fortnitealong with Baby Yoda (if you still call him that after revealing his real name) and a handful of alternative armor.
