SuperData: Gamblers Spent $ 3.9 Billion During Sales On Digital Shopping

SuperData analysts have shared an interesting report on digital purchases by players from Black Friday to Cyber Monday. In total, players spent $ 3.9 billion. Despite the pandemic, there is a 10% drop compared to last year.

At the same time, spending on PCs increased by 3%, but on consoles they fell noticeably. SuperData attributes this to the growing popularity of subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and the anticipation of new shipments of nextgen consoles. Yes, almost all new games are available on PS4 with Xbox One, but many are simply putting off digital purchases until they get their hands on the PS5 or Xbox Series X on which they perform best.

Despite all these factors, 2020 should still be a record year – the pandemic is doing its job. Interestingly, the largest increase in spending on digital content is in the US, while in other countries it is noticeably lower.
