Last week, Studio FOW unveiled 50 minutes of gameplay in the Subverse porn shooter . The video was prepared in collaboration with youtuber Arch – for which the developers began to criticize.
It turned out that Arch is accused of racism, which he does not hesitate to abuse in his own statements. Because of this, Wargaming, Creative Assembly and Games Workshop refused to cooperate with him. Also, posts with its content are deleted in the r / Games subreddit.
“Racism is absurd, which makes it a good joke, because everyone admits it is absurd. If you don’t think racism is absurd and you don’t see obvious jokes, then this is your problem, not mine.
Studio FOW didn’t seem to know how to react at first. Initially, the developers wrote that they had no idea about the racist statements of YouTube, although it would be worth checking. After a while, the post was deleted and the studio wrote the following:
“Regarding our previous comment on Arch, we were heavily bombarded with posts from various political groups, which made us act in a hurry. We’re just the developers of a boob game, after all, but suddenly we found ourselves in a political debate.”
Studio FOW noted that she has no personal complaints about Arch – YouTube quite professionally showed the gameplay of Subverse. The developers tried to reassure the fans and added that they value all players, regardless of their political beliefs.
The release of the game is scheduled for early 2021 for PC. Subverse will be released in parts as part of updates, each of which will add new waifu to the game with its own quest chains for hiring girls for the squad.
