Reddit presented data on the number of active users for the first time. The company told The Wall Street Journal that it had 52 million daily active users in October 2020.
This is 44% more than in 2019.
In the past, the company kept the number of users a secret, but decided to share them to ensure an accurate reflection of its growth and to comply with typical industry practices.
The site’s audience is growing, but still not large. For example, Twitter has about 187 million users, and Facebook has over 1.82 billion daily visits. However, ad revenue could skyrocket in 2020 by 70%. All thanks to the approach when advertisers and visitors themselves feel comfortable on the site.
