EW has published the first shots and details of the thriller “Nobody” by director Ilya Naishuller. The main role is played by Bob Odenkerk, best known for his role as Saul Goodman in the TV series Breaking Bad.
The plot tells the story of a humble family man Hutch Mansell, whose house is once broken into by bandits. He could not fight back and now Hutch’s PTSD reignites in him a thirst for violence, which leads to new problems.
According to Odenkirk, he himself proposed the idea for the film to the writer after he and his family were victims of numerous break-ins. The actor trained with a stuntman for two years, studying boxing, jiu-jitsu, karate and judo.
The film also stars Alexei Serebryakov (Leviathan), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), rapper RZA and Connie Nielsen (Gladiator). It was written by Derek Kolstad (“John Wick”) and produced by David Leitch (“Exploding Blonde”).
The American premiere of the film is scheduled for February 19.
