Sony recently officially confirmed that the PlayStation 5 will not have a web browser, as the company says it doesn’t really matter on a game console. However, users who have already received the PS5 in their hands reported that it is still possible to use the browser.
You just have to dig deeper into the settings.
The easiest way is to open the “User’s Guide” section, which will take you to a page with instructions for using the console, but this page will not have an address bar. This is why there is another loophole in the console settings.
In the “Users and Accounts” menu, there is an item that allows you to link your PSN account with an account, for example, Twitter. When the social network asks you to enter data, you can safely click on the sparrow icon and safely follow the links, although there will still be no access to the address bar.
The publication Ars Technica tested several sites and noted that almost all of them work flawlessly. The only exceptions are sites with interactive elements. In addition, YouTube and other video services do not allow you to watch videos in full screen.
