NPD US Spent $ 11 Billion on Games in Q3

The NPD Group reported that in the third quarter of 2020, that is, from July to September, American gamers spent $ 11.2 billion on video games. This is the largest figure ever recorded during this period.

Compared to last year, the growth was 24%.

NPD reported that the largest spending fell on the segment of mobile gaming, subscription services, digital versions of large titles and various peripherals. NPD Group analysts noted that the number of players is growing steadily, as well as the number of hours spent playing games. The company is confident that new records should be expected in the fourth quarter, after the start of the PS5 and Xbox Series.
