Hitman franchise exceeds 70 million players

Ahead of the 20th anniversary of the Hitman franchise, IO Interactive announced a new milestone of 70 million players across all seven major titles in the series.

  1. Hitman: Codename 47 – November 21, 2000
  2. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin – October 1, 2002
  3. Hitman: Contracts – April 20, 2004
  4. Hitman: Blood Money – May 26, 2006
  5. Hitman: Absolution – November 20, 2012
  6. Hitman – March 11, 2016
  7. Hitman 2 – November 13, 2018

IO Interactive has promised to somehow celebrate the anniversary. At the end there will be new information about the upcoming Hitman 3.

The list includes a six-year break – between 2006 and 2012. During this time, IO Interactive was running the Kane & Lynch franchise, which has not heard anything since.
