HBO abandons Outsider season 2, but show is not closed

Having a script and willing actors doesn’t always mean that the show will continue. So it happened with “Stranger” based on the novel by Stephen King. The writer saw the details of the second season, but HBO decided not to buy the rights to the second season, so MRC will think about what to do next.

Representatives of HBO wrote that they were glad to cooperate and wish the Outsider team the best in developing the world invented by Stephen King.

There are two options: find a buyer in the market or close the show. The second option is easier and cheaper, while the first one will have to tinker with, but it can pay for itself. Producers are considering “relocating” the show to another channel or one of the streaming services. Maybe Outsider will appear on Netflix, which has other MRC shows: The Ozarks and House of Cards.

As for the details of the second season, they are unknown.
