Western media reported about the next postponement of the premiere of the Fantastic Beasts triquel from November 2021 to July 15, 2022. The schedule changes came a few days after Johnny Depp left the movie.
On November 6, the actor revealed that Warner Bros. asked him to leave the cast after he lost a court case against The Sun in a libel case. According to Variety, the role of the wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the film will be assigned to another actor.
The scenes with Depp have not yet been filmed, so media expects his departure should not significantly change the production of the film. According to other publications , a couple of scenes have already been filmed and the actor will receive an eight-figure sum for them, even if the film is not released.
Apparently, part of the events of “Fantastic Beasts 3” will take place in Europe. At the same time, the events of the first two films developed in the late 1920s, so the viewers will have a time leap of 10 years. Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Dan Fogler and Katherine Waterstone will return to their roles. David Yates will return to directing.
