In April, it became known that one of the creators of “Matryoshka” Leslie Hadland became the showrunner of the unannounced Star Wars series, which will tell the story of a certain heroine. In an interview with Fantastic Frankey, Hadland shared how she approached the show and how she presented the idea to Kathleen Kennedy and other producers.
Hadland said she started by reviewing the Star Wars universe handbook, which was written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace. Showrunner noted that it is not always possible to start with the phrase “I have a cool idea.” In the case of Star Wars, you need to take into account the already prescribed places and sectors of the universe, which in one way or another have been touched on in films and other works.
Hadland revealed that she wanted to reveal the geographic side of Star Wars, as well as the economic and political side of each planet in the series. Hadland presented the idea of the show in the format of heroes’ travels in the manner of “Indiana Jones”.
Showrunner said the show will follow in the footsteps of The Mandalorians, with weekly episodes waiting for viewers. This will help grab the attention of fans and tell the story in different formats. Hadland is sure that her show will not work in one gulp.
Details of the show’s plot are not yet available. It will be released on the Disney + streaming service.
