Last week it was officially announced that the SSD in the Xbox Series S is 364 GB out of 512 GB. This could scare the potential owner of the younger version of the console, but Microsoft has clearly shown that it is not worth worrying about.
On Series S, the size of games will be significantly smaller compared to Series X. The fact is that the junior console does not need to load 4K textures, while saving disk space. For example, the company presented the size of three games.
- Sea of Thieves – 64% less on Series S
- Gears 5 – 39% less
- DIRT 5 – 23% less
Earlier Microsoft also announced that few people will install 10-15 games at once. According to the company, most will download a couple of titles and will only play them. The manufacturer analyzed the statistics and is confident in the 512 GB SSD.
Xbox Series S and X will go on sale November 10.
