The disabled player came up with an interesting solution that allowed him to play Valorant

The handicapped player, despite his dysfunction, found a way to play Valorant effectively.

Reddit is a place where the community complains very often. However, this is not an unbreakable rule, as one member of the community has decided to share a positive story about the fact that despite his disability, he can still play Valorant.

Reddit user “YHJ_JYG_Kryptlock” found that he has mild cerebral palsy resulting in half-body paresis. This limits his hand movements, making it almost impossible to play with a mouse and PC keyboard. He explained that he initially tried to play on the Xbox controller, but quickly realized that it was “useless” for opponents with a keyboard and mouse. Other players obviously had a larger range of movement and faster response time.

How does your equipment look like?

Kryptlock hadn’t thought about giving up playing FPS from Riot and was constantly looking for a way to make it possible.

“I had to come up with a way to keep playing with mouse precision, but at the same time to be able to move the character with my left hand – he explained”.

This led him to create his own custom Valorant set.

The set consists of a Razer Naga mouse with 12 buttons on the side and a joystick. The agent’s abilities are linked to the mouse buttons, which means he can use it effectively. He also learned to use a program that allowed the W,A,S,D keys to be linked to the joystick, which he used in the past when playing console games.

This led them to create their own custom Valorant setup.

The setup has worked great for them so far, except they can’t maneuver keys quite as quickly as most players using traditional controls. To counter this drawback, the player won’t do jiggle peeking or anything else that requires these faster movements.
