Mass Effect Series Remasters Announced + New Game In Development Featuring Veterans

The biggest gift from EA and BioWare for N7 Day is the announcement of the highly anticipated Mass Effect remasters. The developers clarify that these are not full-fledged remakes, but the result of the re-releases is the best quality that could be achieved.

Features of remasters:

  • The collection includes three games and all add-ons
  • Multiplayer from Mass Effect 3 will not be
  • Promise 4K Ultra HD resolution and high frame rate – the exact figure by platform is still unknown
  • Updated textures, shaders, hero models and effects

The release will take place in 2021 on PC and consoles.

It also became known that a new part in the Mass Effect series is in development. As stated in the press release, it is being handled by veterans of the series. There are no other details yet.

Mass Effect Series Remasters

The first part of Mass Effeсt was released in 2007 as a temporary exclusive to the Xbox 360. A year later the game reached the PC, but on PS3 it was released only in 2012. The last part – Andromeda – began a new story, but was criticized by both players and journalists.
