Kerbal Space Program 2 postponed to 2022

Studio Intercept Games announced that it was forced to postpone the release of the Kerbal Space Program 2 simulator – now to 2022. Prior to that, the release was planned for next fall, but developers need more time to develop.

When we started working on the project, we realized that we were setting ourselves a huge technical and creative challenge. We hear over and over from the community that quality comes first. We are of the same opinion.

It’s not enough to just implement many new features – they have to work as a whole. We create a solid foundation for players and modders to extend the life of a game for another decade or more. For this we have to solve a number of problems, but it will take time.

The developers plan to release specific area videos, development diaries and screenshots to keep players interested.

erbal Space Program 2  was announced in August 2019, and the game was supposed to be released in spring 2020. Then the Star Theory team (Planetary Annihilation and Dino Frontier) was involved in the game, but after Take-Two transferred the development to Intercept Games.
