What’s new in Minecraft 1.16.4? Prepare for account migration and bug fixes.
Those who followed the changes taking place in the snapshots and pre-release versions shouldn’t be surprised by the contents of Update 1.16.4, which hit Minecraft yesterday. There are a total of 3 developer versions. What’s new will be introduced to the game?
What’s new in version 1.16.4
In 1.16.4, players will find a new feature that allows them to filter messages sent by servers. After selecting this option, the game will try to hide all sent messages.
A menu for interacting with other players will also appear. It will allow you to block the chat with individual people logged in to a given server. The menu is opened by default with the P key, which includes a list of players.
Implementing security for interactions with other players is part of the preparation for migrating Microsoft accounts to Mojang accounts, more about which you can read in another article.
In addition to the above changes, the game also includes bug fixes:
- The texture of the Netherite pants has been improved.
- Fixed an issue where the world could not be generated.
- Fixed an issue that caused the server to crash when any creature on the wings of the Ender Dragon respawns.
- The cursor in the interaction menu, recipe book and when using the anvil was not blinking. This has also been improved.
Version 1.16.4 is the last one before the release of 1.17 snapshots. From now on, players can expect the first test versions, which should start appearing later this year.
