Back in September last year, CD Projekt RED announced that Cyberpunk 2077 would receive multiplayer as a standalone game, but no details were given. Thanks to the publication Night City Life, it became known who is leading the development.
For a long time, the portal regularly tracked vacancies in the studio and monitored the recruitment of new employees. So it became known that Gabe Amatangelo was appointed creative director at the CDPR office in Wroclaw, who is leading the development of multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077.
Previously, Amatangelo worked at BioWare as a PvP combat designer in Star Wars: The Old Republic, then worked on extensions for this game. Later, the developer had a hand in creating the Jaws of Hakkon add-on for Dragon Age: Inquisition.
The singleplayer Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for December 10, 2020 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Next year, the full version will be released for PS5 and Xbox Series. The release date of the multiplayer has not yet been announced.
