The VR version of the horror Blair Witch paid off in a day

Polish studio Bloober Team announced that Blair Witch: Oculus Quest Edition paid off in just one day. At the same time, the payback covered both production and marketing costs. The exact sales figures are not disclosed.

The developers do not deny the release of the game on other virtual reality platforms.

The VR version was released on October 29, although the full game was released at the end of August 2019. The title is a psychological horror game based on the eponymous Blair Witch universe.

The plot of the game is dedicated to the former police officer Ellis, who joins in the search for a missing little boy in 1996. The game takes place in the same setting as the original film, however, a different story is presented here.

Blair Witch VR has an average rating of 67 on the vrgamecritic review aggregator based on 9 reviews. The Oculus Quest Edition suffers from the same bugs as the full version.
