There has been no Halloween in CS: GO for two years. Players show what it could look like.
Yesterday we mentioned that once again Valve approached the Halloween theme in a downplaying way. Or rather, it didn’t come at all. While other games have spooky decorations, pumpkins, ghosts, new cosmetics, and reworked maps, nothing has been added to CS: GO.
CS players are not the Fortnite community. They don’t need a lot of skins, crazy accessories. However, they want to feel well cared for, even in the smallest way.
How could you change the maps?
The easiest way to introduce a Halloween vibe was to just play with lighting and textures. This is perfectly demonstrated by the design that transforms Dust 2 into a slightly darker version.
You could also add some colors, some pumpkins and other custom lighting, just like you do on the reworked Nuke.
Yet another page shows a mansion that has acquired a gloomy vibe, perfect for the unexpected appearance of enemies around the corner.
There were so many possibilities, after all, Valve had already made Cobblestone in the Halloween version once, so the developers could simply turn on this location for a few days. In this way, the players were left with nothing and with many grudges. This can be seen on Reddit as well as on the official forum or social media.
