Lone developer Kubold has released a new video for Hellish Quart and features a first-person view. The game is a fencing fighting game in which battles are based on physics.
Hellish Quart is still in early access, players have five playable characters to choose from, three original musical compositions, arcade mode, local multiplayer, controller support, and more. The game uses the movements of real fencers and scanned clothes of the 17th century.
Lunges are made by pressing one of the four buttons on the gamepad – each button is responsible for a certain angle of attack. Various combinations make up combo attacks. If the player does not attack at all, then the character automatically takes a defensive stance.
Kubold expects the full release of Hellish Quart to take place in one to two years. The developer previously participated in the development of The Witcher 3 as an animator and motion capture actor.
