Two days ago, Ubisoft posted a list of games on Connect that will not be backward compatible on PS5. The article was later removed and the company issued a statement:
We have temporarily removed the Ubisoft Connect article and forum post that mentioned backward compatibility, as it may contain inaccuracies regarding Ubisoft games that can be played on PS5.
The list of games included:
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China
- Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia
- Star trek bridge crew
- Werewolves Within
- Space junkies
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
According to the description on the PS Store title pages, these games may still work on PS5, but with possible bugs and without some PS4-specific features.
This game may have bugs or unexpected situations when used on PS5, and some features available on PS4 may not be available. To play this game on PS5, you may need to update your system software.
It remains to wait for more details from Ubisoft itself, so that there is more understanding which games will receive backward compatibility and which ones will not go outside the PS4.
