Historic CSGO moment - the first planned mid-match shift on the professional stage

The first such situation on the professional CSGO scene that was planned.

In all kinds of traditional sports, which are based on team play, it is quite normal to change players. They often need rest and cannot give their best.

In electronic sports, and especially in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, something like this is rather unusual. During the compLexity and Vitality match, the player was changed to one map, which is the first such situation in history.

Are there any changes in players earlier?

Of course, in the past we may have already witnessed some changes during the meeting. A great example is the situation of Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who had to leave the game on the second map in order to catch the plane. It is much harder to look for situations where such a change was planned from the beginning of the game.

The first compLexity battle map with Vitality was Nuke. It was followed by Dust 2, and on this one map Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier was replaced by Nabil “Nivera” Benrlitom.

The situation was historic and will likely be the beginning of more frequent changes to the roster of esports teams. The new teammate always brings a fresh perspective to the team and it can be a really interesting change in CSGO meetings.
