Despite the shortage of full-fledged RTX 30xx video cards, NVIDIA is preparing mobile versions of chips based on the Ampere architecture. The network has information about the Max-Q series.
We are talking about the RTX 3080, RTX 3070 and two variants of the RTX 3060, the announcement of which is expected at CES 2021. The latter is expected, in addition to the Max-Q version, will receive a Max-P version for top-end gaming laptops with Core i7 / i9 and Ryzen 4000 / 5000.
The RTX 3070 will feature SK Hynix GDDR6 memory at 12 Gbps, up from 14 Gbps for desktop versions. The mobile RTX 3060 will have a stripped-down GA104 or GA106 GPU.
There is no data yet on the release dates for laptops with mobile RTX 30.
