Riot knows Valorant needs a baseline change. It will empower attackers and defenders
Valorant is at a time when he needs to make some major changes to his foundations to get the community back interested.

Riot is well aware that since the new pass, character and map did not prevent the community from returning to active gaming, there is clearly something wrong.

It is impossible to assess the number of people on the servers, but the views on Twitch as well as Google trends show a decline in Valorant, at least in terms of interest.

What is Riot planning?

The developers have revealed that they want to make changes to the Valorant core. The idea here is to make the attackers stronger.

The studio is already planning some character changes. A large buff can be expected, among others, by Breach, a character that has needed corrections for a long time. Killjoy and Cypher will also be nerfed.

Certainly, changes are to be expected in several characters over the coming weeks. Ultimately, they are supposed to lead to some change in the finish line and to change the balance a bit after Skye’s exit. Will it all work? The players will find out about it only some time later. The next update is likely to be released in the coming week.
