Minecraft Java Edition will require a Microsoft account in 2021

Mojang released on the website online sandbox Minecraft Post , which stated that in early 2021 all games studios, including the most popular version of Minecraft – the Java Edition, Microsoft will require the presence of the players account. Switching to a Microsoft account is a must.

If you don’t transfer your account within a few months, you won’t be able to play.

Mojang explained the transition procedure is necessary, since a Microsoft account provides several advantages: improved security in conjunction with two-factor authentication, linking all the games of the Minecraft franchise to one account, as well as parental controls, blocking chat and invites.
