Some new players are wondering if the new League of Legends season will reset the achieved achievements. In a way, this is what happens, although that does not mean that past achievements lose their relevance. What exactly will be reset and how do you make it easier to re-punch?
Divisions, Soft Reset and more
Rank
All players go through a “soft reset” at the beginning of each season, so the new rank will most likely be lower than the rank obtained at the end of the previous season.
All players start a new ranked season without any rank. To re-enter a Division you have to go to so-called placement matches.
Honor level
Each player’s honor level resets at the start of the season, as does the rank. Everyone starts between Honor Level 2 and Honor 3, unless someone was below Honor Level 2 at the start of the season.
Additionally, players who are still fighting for honor and ending up at a higher honor level gain a better starting position in the fight for prizes than others.
