Tom’s guide has tested the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro batteries in 5G and 4G LTE modes. Later, the results were compared with each other and with competitors on Android.
The results table shows that the base model iPhone 12 lasted 10 hours and 23 minutes when connected to 4G. On 5G networks, the smartphone was discharged 2 hours faster. The situation is roughly the same with the iPhone 12 Pro.
Comparing Apple devices to competitors, it becomes more clear why the company has not added 120Hz screens to smartphones. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S20 runs 8 hours at 5G and 120Hz, which is one hour less than the iPhone 12 Pro.
At the same time, the difference in the volume of the batteries is significant. OnePlus 8T looks more advantageous, but it has a larger screen size and a more capacious battery, so you need to compare it, rather, with the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
- OnePlus 8T – 4500 mAh
- Samsung Galaxy S20 – 4000 mAh
- iPhone 12 and Pro – 2815mAh
Yesterday we published an extract from the first reviews of new Apple smartphones. Most of the journalists agreed that updating on the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro is not necessary at all, and for photo lovers it is better to wait for the 12 Pro Max.
