The Outer Worlds puts images and dates to the patch that will improve the poor graphics of the Switch version
It will arrive with an offer of the game in eShop, at a price to be specified.

There is no doubt that The Outer Worlds is one of the best RPGs that 2019 left us, but the magic that Obsidian had conferred on the Halcyon colony faded as soon as its adaptation to Nintendo Switch hit stores this summer: be it due to limitations hardware or poor optimization, the truth is that the game was crying out for a graphic update.

The official channels of the program announce on social networks that the patch in question will be available on October 21, attaching comparative images so that we can see how it will look after installation. With just a glance it is easy to notice that an ambient occlusion effect has been added that gives more depth to the patterns and textures, but clouds and a higher level of detail have also been added for the buildings.

In the absence of knowing all the changes applied in this update, those responsible for the game complement the news with a reduction announced for October 22, although the new price that will appear in the eShop is also a mystery.

Our colleague Alberto Pastor closed the analysis of The Outer Worlds for Nintendo Switch stating that “beyond the graphic cuts, its big problem is that its technical performance and low resolution affect the game experience, making it difficult for you to enjoy this great Obsidian RPG on TV, or in its portable mode. “
