Ruffian Games employees have confirmed that they have become part of Rockstar Games, although the studio began working on the company’s titles a year ago. Essentially, this month there was a complete merger and the studio was renamed Rockstar Dundee.
What kind of franchises the new studio is engaged in remains unknown. Prior to joining the developers of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, Ruffian Games partnered with Microsoft to release Crackdown 2. The studio later contributed to Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Rockstar Games itself is rumored to be developing the sixth part of GTA and the sequel to Bully, although the games have not yet been officially announced.
