While Apple is actively opposing the introduction of Xbox Game Pass and xCloud cloud gaming technology on the App Store, Microsoft is thinking about how to bypass the restrictions of the Cupertino-based company. Phil Spencer previously mentioned that sooner or later Apple will fall and the companies will come to a definite decision.
However, now, apparently, this is not happening, and therefore Microsoft decided to start developing a web version of xCloud, which will run without problems on the iPhone and iPad.
Business Insider reported that Phil Spencer held a meeting last Wednesday to announce to all employees the launch of the xCloud web solution in 2021. According to anonymous sources in the company, Spencer is very determined and has no doubts that cloud technology “sooner or later” will be on iOS devices.
At the same meeting, the Xbox boss announced that xCloud should reach the PC in 2021. The preview version is already being actively tested within Microsoft.
