Marvel's Avengers hopes to regain player interest with the release of new content

The Crystal Dynamics game has hit a huge drop in active users in just one month.

It appears that plans regarding Marvel’s Avengers are not going as planned by Crystal Dynamics. Despite the interest that the game has generated during the months leading up to its launch, after a few weeks since its arrival, users seem to have lost interest in the Marvel superhero proposal . Proof of this is that activity on Steam has plummeted and there are barely between 1000 and 2000 active users.

The studio’s idea with Marvel’s Avengers was to launch a game-as-a-service that consistently includes content. In that line they intend to continue but, the short duration of the Story Mode and the mission system that it includes to improve the level and the skills of the characters do not seem to have connected with the public. Even so, from Crystal Dynamics , responsible for the game, they remain optimistic.

Scot Amos, head of the study, has spoken with the Kotaku medium to deepen the current situation of the game, talking about the new content that is to come, and with which they hope that the figures of the game will increase again. The manager affirms that new content will arrive in the coming weeks , such as a new type of War Zone mission, a new Base that will serve as a starting point for new missions in history and a new AIM Clone Laboratory indicated for four High-level players team up to overcome it and deliver the best loot in the game.

It also refers to the new Operations that will be added with the additions of Kate Bishop and Clint Burton , who will pick up the plot where the main campaign left off and will grow the story with “new mysteries, villains and new multiplayer content.
