Marvel Avengers developers are optimistic about the future of the game

Marvel’s Avengers  is an amazing case when a game based on a familiar franchise and with the most popular heroes of humanity suffers from a shortage of players on the PC. Forbes reported that PC had difficulty matching players to complete missions, while online Steam dropped less than a thousand concurrent users.

Perhaps this is a problem only on the PC, Crystal Dynamic itself is optimistic about the future of the title. The head of the studio, Scott Amos, assured that the team is working not only on new characters, but also on content. He expressed optimism that players will start returning to all platforms:

We are preparing new content: a completely new type of mission in the war zone called Tachyon Rifts, a new Outpost that is the starting point for the continuation of the story, an AIM laboratory for endgame. Kate Bishop and Clint Barton are also coming soon with story content. They will continue the plot of the main campaign. New mysteries, villains and multiplayer content will appear.

We’re confident to see PC players return to the game as we add exciting new endgame content and demonstrate that we are still focused on improving the game.

The studio will also continue to polish the title and improve the balance.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
