Insomniac Games has been working on Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for a year, and despite some new assets revealed earlier this week, the team continues to improve the look of the next-gen re-release. Community director James Stevenson confirmed the treat in a Twitter post, where he explained that it is “very gratifying” to be able to unveil the title.
Core CTO Mike Fitzgerald added that while the new ray tracing reflections look good in screenshots, they really come to life on the move. “Seeing cars and people going in and out of the frame, pigeons and planes flying, movement in the new dynamic clouds [is where the remaster shines],” he said, pointing out that the loyalty s ‘is “a little” improved since the images were captured.
The remaster has been confirmed as a PS5 launch game , and you’ll be getting it as part of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which should turn out to be a tantalizing double bill. Can’t wait to replay this frosty superhero classic? Swing low in the comments section below.
