Blizzard removes bullet dispersion for Soldier-76, increases bullet count and recoil in the Overwatch update

The new experiments change only one character, namely Żołnierza-76.

Blizzard has introduced new experiments to Overwatch that actually replace what would normally be on the PST (Public Test Server). Interestingly, this time the change only affects one hero.

Overwatch Soldier-76 changes

We are testing a few changes to the Soldier-76’s Heavy Pulse Rifle that emphasize gun recoil rather than bullet spread. Overall, this will make the weapon perform better when firing in automatic mode than when using short bursts. While arming other heroes also provides recoil, the aim of the proposed changes is to significantly impact the gameplay rather than to provide the player with a realistic feel for using a weapon.

For this, the scatter was completely removed and at the same time constant recoil was added. The changes are definitely worth testing, even if someone is not completely playing the Soldier. If it finally comes into play, it can cause a lot of confusion.

Heavy Pulse Rifle

  • Missile dispersion has been removed.
  • Constant recoil added.
  • Shells increased from 25 to 30.

In addition, the Soldier now has more shells. These have been increased from 25 to 30. Testing is done using the 2-2-2 role-play system to get players; they could feel how these changes would affect the standard game.
