We think we can all agree that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered looks exceptional in the PlayStation 5 footage released earlier today, but without an immediate point of reference, the visual improvements may not be as obvious as they actually are. . Enter YouTuber ElAnalistaDeBits, who previously compared the PlayStation 3 version of Demon’s Souls with the upcoming remake and has now done the same with the Insomniac Games version on the web-slinger. Of course, the difference isn’t as impressive as this particular comparison, but Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered still has a few tricks up its sleeve that bring a PS4 game to shame.
What immediately jumps out at us is the lighting. The PS5 remaster looks so much brighter than its current-gen counterpart – it could be the HDR that really gets the job done. Elsewhere, the draw distance appears to have improved as buildings feature even more tiny detail to make them realistic. We also can’t forget the bump up to 60 frames per second that will make the fight and crossing even smoother.
