This time it’s not VAC, but probably mass reporting of random people.
Some time ago, we wrote about the fact that Valve started the fight against mass reporting of players, which resulted in their automatic suspension. The problem has reportedly been fixed.
Supposedly, since yesterday, players have been getting social bans, imposed by other people. It looks a bit as if someone is very annoyed with Valve itself.
Massive bans in CS: GO
The locks are obviously wrongly imposed. Usually the ban lasts two weeks and disappears by itself. The case is said to start a week ago, but only now more people reported on Reddit that they also woke up with bans today.
Blockades are imposed on random people as well as the more popular ones. For “regular” players, you have to rely on the support department, which … is quite slow.
Valve has not commented on this issue and there is nothing to expect at all. In such situations, developers either solve the problem silently or write one or two messages on Reddit or Twitter and forget about the topic.
It is not known what it will be this time and when the situation will be brought under control. In the event of a ban, it is best to contact the support.
