Riot will start repeating skills because some mechanics are so good they shouldn't be for one character

Riot related to many community questions about the ability “Q” u Yone decided to answer how the team currently approaches the issue of repeating skills.

Each character in League of Legends is unique in its own way. Until now, Riot hasn’t practiced spending the same abilities on different heroes. However, that changed with the arrival of Yone.

A lot of people have noted the ability under “Q” which is almost identical to Yone’s. What do the developers think about it?

"Some mechanics are so good they shouldn't be for just one character"

One of the character designers of “EndlessPillows” answered questions during an interview with YouTuber “Blaustois”. It turns out that the developers had 4 different versions of “Q” prepared precisely because they didn’t want to repeat Yasuo’s skills.

As we hear, some mechanics are so good that they shouldn’t be assigned to just one character. Riot also emphasizes that it makes a storyline sense, after all, Yasuo and Yone trained in the same place, so they can use similar combat techniques.

“They are brothers, they trained in the same school, they have the same sword … Of course they would know the same kind of techniques”

Ultimately, however, it led to many additional questions about whether Riot is not running out of ideas, since he is making the ground for repeating skills and whether in the future we should expect not so much new mechanics, but slightly reworked ones that are already in the game.

No answer has been given to this question and it will probably not. It is known that this is quite a controversial topic that will find its explanation only with new characters. Currently, three new heroes are waiting for players, i.e. a character for the middle lane, a jungler and a tank support.
