It looks like Call of Duty: Warzone is set to hit mobile devices after a job posting suggesting something on those lines has been spotted online.
According to a report in Charlie Intel , the now-suppressed job listing called Executive Producer, Features said the company was looking for “WZM,” which appears to be the code name for Warzone Mobile . According to the report, the job listing added that this is a new mobile FPS in Call of Duty Franchsie.
“As an executive producer, Features you will own the product framing and player experience of a new AAA mobile first person shootout in the Call of Duty franchise,” the list adds.
He further stated that the person must “harvest, adapt and deliver the essential functionalities of the Warzone console and the PC in their best mobile instantiation”.
The selected person should learn how to modify Warzone into a mobile experience and understand which aspects of the mode need to be carried over for this. The person should be able to replicate the console experience on mobile through advancements in mobile technology.
According to a report published in XDA Developers, Warzone has become one of the most popular games in the Activision lineup, with over 75 million players, since its release in March.
Call of Duty: Mobile already has a Battle Royale mode that features Modern Warfare and Black Ops locations. The release of Warzone on mobile could allow players to carry over some of the progress they have made in the current release.
Meanwhile, Activision is currently planning to release Call of Duty: Cold War Black Ops this year, which will expand Warzone with new weapons, characters, and possibly locations.
