The dispute between Epic and Google and Apple continues. The next hearing is scheduled for September 28, but it is very doubtful that this case will come any closer to the end.
Fortnite’s Epic introduced a skin poking fun at Apple, and the hardware manufacturer decided to launch an advertisement for its services, promoting them using Fortnite. What is it actually about?
How does Apple promote itself with Fortnite?
More and more people are reporting that Apple ads are appearing on their social media, created in cooperation with Fortnite. This is specifically about Apple Music, which either forgot that Apple has big problems with Epic, or just wanted to additionally give the creators of the most popular Battle Royale a little snap on the nose.
The ad is likely to disappear in a moment. Either someone from the marketer realizes that something is wrong here, or the planned action will simply expire for the next campaign.
So far, little has changed in terms of Apple and Fortnite. Players using iOS devices still can’t check out Season 14, but they have one free skin and the ability to play on Update 13.40.
