While we may not have gotten an item that you can customize in the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Battle Pass like the previous two seasons, it looks like Epic is willing to make up for that by releasing a new skin in the object store that will allow customization! If you’ve always wanted to create your own hero, Fortnite will let you do that in the very near future.
News of this first broke in patch notes 14.10 provided to creators by Epic Games. Few details have been provided, but enough has been given that we know you will be able to purchase it in the store and you will be able to customize the look of the skin!
It looks like you’ll be able to start with a base model for your hero from the outfit list leaked below.
Once you’ve chosen, you can then choose from a bunch of different customizations for that hero.
You can apparently change your hairstyle, whether you are wearing a belt, eye glow, mask, and a few extra stuff!
Here’s a look at the in-game edition, where you can change your model, hairstyle, and face. Credit to HYPEX for the images.
You can also change the material of your super costume! There are four different textures to choose from. There are also a whole bunch of colors to choose from.
You can also choose the color of your accessories, which would include your belt and mask.
If that wasn’t enough, you can also choose skin and hair tones!
Each skin is of legendary rarity, so it will cost you at least 2,000 V-Bucks to purchase it. However, it’s a pretty interesting concept, and being able to choose what your hero looks like is a pretty fun way to play! We will have more information on how this system works as details become available.
