Since the beginning of August, Fortnite players can no longer enjoy the battle royale on Apple devices, given that the North American brand has withdrawn Fortnite from the App Store following the actions of Epic Games which did not did not respect the contract with the builder. Epic Games subsequently launched a lawsuit, the latter proving that Apple was right, much to the dismay of the development studio and its community.
As a result, in addition to the players who are penalized, Epic Games sees its revenue drop drastically, since the mobile platform is one of the most lucrative (more than a billion dollars in two years only on Apple devices). Several analysts have looked into the subject, and according to Buyshares, Epic Games could lose more than $ 26 million, each month, referring to the average earnings between January-August 2020.
Epic Games is not going to let this go, however, and will try to make Fortnite available again on iOS devices, even if Apple will not give the development studio a freebie.
In the meantime, if you are on Android, we remind you that you can still play Fortnite, which is not the case for players on Apple devices, who must now go to another platform, namely PC, PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch.
